I’m passionate about helping clients improve their health and well-being. With the daily tensions and stresses of life, I believe we should set time aside specifically for relaxation and to allow the body and mind to rebalance.
After a shoulder injury in 2006 and a busy working life as an Assistant Headteacher, I trained as a complementary therapist. Since then, I have developed my knowledge and learnt valuable techniques to allow the body to restore itself to normal function after injury, a build-up of stress or tension or from changes during pregnancy or in the postnatal period.
I attended baby massage and baby yoga classes after I had my first son, and I found the connection these classes gave me with my child remarkable. I set up my classes to help others establish a bond with their babies (and meet other parents afterwards over tea and biscuits!)
When I had my third son, I visited a women’s health physiotherapist and was diagnosed with diastasis recti. I was encouraged to try Pilates to build my core strength. The changes were enough to convince me of the benefits of Pilates, and I trained as an instructor. Pilates has enriched my life, and I love sharing the techniques I have learned.
I regularly attend specialist courses to further my knowledge, and I am a member of the Association of Reflexologists (AOR), fully insured and CRB checked.
Whether you’re looking to unwind or you need help with pain or discomfort, I can help you. Each appointment and individual Pilates session is tailored to you and your needs.
With Bodyscape Therapies, I’m confident you can rebalance and restore.
